This forum is about sharing information and building a strong community for the Carer Knowledge Exchange. This is a safe, supportive and anonymous space for our community, so please follow our community guidelines.
What can I post?
When engaging with the Carer Knowledge Exchange discussion forum please remember to:
- Be kind.
- Treat everyone with respect.
- Report posts that are inappropriate. Please see our frequently asked questions for how to report a post.
- Post information that is current and correct to the best of your knowledge.
- Include the link from trustworthy sources for all statements made outside your personal experience such as statistics, data or studies.
What can't I post?
- Personal attacks or slander.
- Content that others may find distressing.
- Content that could be seen to be professional advice such as legal, medical, or financial advice.
- Defamation of an individual.
- Discriminatory or offensive comments.
- Posts that break the law or disclose illegal activity.
- Ads or promotions of goods/services/professionals.
- Medication names or requests for medical advice.
- Swear words or profanities.
- Material that identifies you or the person you care for by image, words or links. This includes a home address, workplace, school, college, name, email address or images that identify you or others or identify where you live. Please be mindful that this is a public website. Your content may appear in search engine results.
- Fundraisers, petitions or surveys.
- Anything that infringes copyright or intellectual property.
- Defamatory, offensive, illegal or abusive content.
- Content that incites violence.
When should I report a post?
Please help our moderating team by reporting posts that are harmful to the Carer Knowledge Exchange community as this helps us react quickly and keep this a safe space for everyone. You can do this by clicking on the flag icon next to the post that you wish to report. Only the moderation team will know that you have flagged the comment. Please flag:
- Abuse
- Material that needs content warnings
- Disrespectful communication
- Harassment
- Defamation
- A post that indicates a person may be at risk of suicide
If required, our moderation team will follow duty of care protocols to ensure your safety (this may include escalating to emergency services such as the Police).
Please note our moderators are not online 24/7.

If your post breaches these guidelines our moderation team reserves the right to remove posts or suspend/remove members.
