2022 National Carer Survey
Carers NSW
Led by Carers NSW, the 2022 National Carer Survey has expanded the evidence base regarding carers' experiences and support needs. The survey asked carers across Australia about their caring roles, their experiences with services for themselves and the people they care for, their experiences with paid work, and their health and wellbeing.

Generation Survey - What Young Australia Thinks

The Generation Study is national study led by the Australian National University (ANU) where students are surveyed about to better understand contemporary experiences of young Australians both within the school environment and outside education. The ten-year study aims to capture trends about career interests and post-school plans.

The importance of recognition

Carers frequently observe that their caring role is undervalued. This study provides new knowledge on the positive outcomes of carer recognition for carers’ social and emotional well-being and the sustainability of care relationships. Further, it provides evidence on how carer recognition mediates the relationship between adverse experiences of carers, and poor social and emotional outcomes. The findings suggest that reducing adverse experiences in employment, service navigation and social relationships are points of intervention for enhancing perceptions of recognition, and in turn, improving carer outcomes.
