This journal article examines the broad sector reforms within disability and aged care and their subsequent impact on carer support. Following the cessation of the Home and Community Care (HACC) programme and National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP), Creswell notes that significant gaps in carer-focused supports have emerged, and argues the need for carer-specific support services.
